THE LOUNGE · YOU'RE IN
Your body
just said yes
Something in you chose this. Not because you have to because some part of you is ready to stop bracing. That matters. We'll see you inside.
What happens next
Before you arrive
-
Your confirmation email has your Zoom link and class time. It came from hello@thehouseofno.co.za
Check your spam if you don't see it within a few minutes, and mark us as safe for next time.

A yoga mat, a soft carpet, a blanket on the floor. You don't need equipment. You need floor space and permission to be horizontal.
-
There's no performance required in The Lounge. You don't have to be flexible, experienced, or regulated already. You just have to show up. The rest happens in the room.
-
We use the first few minutes to arrive together to let the day settle a little before we begin. Dropping in early means you don't have to rush your nervous system into softness. It already does that part slowly enough.
HOW TO PREPARE
For your body
The Lounge isn't about pushing. But there are a few quiet things that help the body receive what's being offered.
Wear something loose, nothing that holds you in or reminds you to look a certain way.
Have water nearby. Somatic work asks the nervous system to do real things; your body will appreciate it.
If you can, avoid a big meal right before. A light stomach makes lying down easier and more comfortable.
Turn your phone to Do Not Disturb. Not because the class requires it but because you deserve an hour that doesn't vibrate you out of your own body.
You're allowed to cry, sigh, yawn, or feel nothing at all. All of it is right.
The Lounge is where no one performs and everyone is welcome to soften.
WHILE YOU WAIT
between the sessions too.
The practice lives
The Sitting Room is a quiet WhatsApp community, a warm, low-pressure space where the work continues between classes. Short somatic prompts, gentle check-ins, and people who are learning the same thing you are: how to stop overriding themselves. If that sounds like somewhere you want to be, you're welcome to join.
