The Soft “No”

A 7-Day Somatic Video Practice Series

There was a time when I thought my problem was discipline.

I thought if I could just organise my life better…
if I could just become stronger…
clearer…
more confident…

I would finally be able to say no.

But the truth?

My body was terrified of disappointing people.

And I didn’t know that.

So every time I tried to set a boundary, my chest tightened.
My stomach dropped.
My voice softened.

I would say yes.

And then I would resent it.

Not because I was weak.

But because my nervous system believed connection required self-abandonment.

No one teaches us that.

We’re taught scripts.
We’re taught mindset.
We’re taught confidence strategies.

But no one teaches us how to feel safe inside our own bodies.

That’s what changed everything for me.

When I stopped trying to become better at boundaries…
and started helping my body feel safe enough to hold them.

The Soft “No” is that work.

What This Is

Seven guided 10–15 minute video practices.

One per day.

Short. Intentional. Powerful.

These are somatic sequences you can use daily to:

• Notice where you brace
• Feel your internal edges
• Strengthen your capacity to stay present
• Practise embodied “no” in real time

This is not about becoming sharper.

It’s about becoming steady.

Because steady is powerful.

The Identity Shift

You don’t go from:

“I can’t say no.”

To:

“I’m suddenly bold.”

You go from:

“My body is scared.”

To:

“My body feels safe.”

That is the real shift.

And once safety is present, boundaries become natural.

Not forced.

This Is For You If

You’re the strong one.

The capable one.

The one who handles everything.

But inside?

You’re tired.

You don’t need another strategy.

You need internal exhale.

A Truth I Believe

Nothing changes sustainably without nervous system safety.

Not money.
Not relationships.
Not success.
Not boundaries.

Safety first.

Everything else follows.

You don’t need to be certain.

You just need to decide you deserve relief.
