The nervous-system-safe way to soften back into your body + remember you are whole.

Somatic Yoga Reset
A Weekly Somatic Yoga Practice for Nervous System Regulation
There was a time when I thought consistency meant discipline.
Push harder.
Try again.
Stick to the routine.
But every time I tried to force a practice…
My body resisted.
Not because it was lazy.
Because it was overwhelmed.
And eventually I realised something that changed the way I approached movement completely:
The nervous system does not trust pressure.
It trusts rhythm.
The Lounge was created to offer that rhythm.
A place you can return to each week — not to perform, but to reconnect.
What The Lounge Is
The Lounge is a weekly live somatic yoga class designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and regulate your nervous system.
Classes take place every Sunday Morning online via Zoom and lasts about 60 minutes.
Each class is designed to help you slow down, reconnect with sensation, and soften the patterns of tension your body may be holding.
This is not performance-based yoga.
There is no expectation to move in a certain way.
The Practice
Somatic Yoga is an intuitive, body-led movement practice that brings you back into relationship with your own inner knowing.
Instead of performing poses, we use traditional shapes as entry points, not destinations, so you can explore what feels true and supportive in your body.
“Somatic” comes from the Greek sōma, meaning the living body.
Not a body to be controlled.
A body to be listened to.
Through slow, curious movement and nervous-system-aware sequencing, you reconnect with sensation, express what the body has been holding, and unwind patterns that no longer serve you.
Less about stretching.
More about remembering.
This Is Perfect For You If
You feel wired but exhausted.
You are high-functioning on the outside but overwhelmed internally.
You want movement that feels nourishing rather than demanding.
You want a practice that helps your nervous system exhale.
And you are ready to experience your body as an ally rather than something you need to control.
What Happens During Class
Each class includes:
Gentle somatic yoga sequences
Nervous system regulation practices
Guided body awareness
Time to move slowly and intentionally
Space to notice what your body actually needs
There is no expectation to perform.
You are simply invited to listen.
Over time you may begin to notice:
Your reactions slow down
Stress feels more manageable
Your body softens more easily
Your internal boundaries become clearer
You feel safer inside yourself
Not because you tried harder.
Because your nervous system learned something new.
This Is Perfect For You If
First Time Here?
If you’re new to somatic yoga, you might be wondering:
“Will I be able to keep up?”
The answer is: there is nothing to keep up with.
This practice is not about performance.
There is no perfect shape.
No expectation to stretch deeply.
No requirement to turn your camera on.
Inside The Lounge, the invitation is simple:
Move slowly.
Notice what you feel.
Follow what feels supportive in your body.
Some people move through the full practice.
Others spend half the class resting and observing.
Both are part of the work.
Somatic yoga honours the intelligence of your body and your body already knows what it needs.
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need flexibility.
You just need curiosity.
What to Expect in Your First Class
Each class begins gently.
We start by landing in the body.
Noticing breath.
Noticing sensation.
Noticing what is actually present in this moment.
From there we move through slow, guided sequences designed to help your nervous system shift from bracing to settling.
Throughout the class, you’ll hear invitations like:
“Notice what feels supportive.”
“Pause if your body asks for it.”
“There is no need to push.”
The practice is intentionally slow so your nervous system has time to process the movement.
You may notice subtle things during class:
Your breath deepening.
Your shoulders softening.
A feeling of warmth or release.
Or sometimes you may simply notice how much tension you’ve been carrying.
Both are valuable awareness.
By the end of class, many people describe feeling:
• calmer
• more present
• more connected to their bodies
Not because they pushed harder.
Because their nervous system had space to settle.
A Small Reminder
You do not need to arrive relaxed.
You can arrive stressed.
Tired.
Overwhelmed.
The practice will meet you exactly where you are.
That is the entire point.
