The Lounge

Live somatic yoga. A room you return to when the body needs somewhere to put it all down.

WHAT THE LOUNGE IS

A room, not a routine

The Lounge is a live somatic yoga class held online. About an hour. Slow, guided, nervous-system-led. You come as you are and you leave a little more settled than you arrived.

There was a time I thought consistency meant discipline. Push harder, try again, stick to the routine. But every time I forced a practice, my body resisted , not because it was lazy, because it was overwhelmed. The nervous system doesn't trust pressure. It trusts rhythm. The Lounge exists to offer that rhythm.

Not a class you keep up with.
A room you come back to.

THE PRACTICE

Somatic yoga,
briefly

Somatic comes from the Greek sōma, the living body. Not a body to be controlled. A body to be listened to.

Instead of performing poses, we use the traditional shapes as entry points rather than destinations, so you can follow what actually feels supportive in your body. Slow movement, breath, and time to notice. Less about stretching. More about remembering.

There is no expectation to move in a particular way, no perfect shape, and no requirement to turn your camera on. Some people move through the whole practice. Others spend half the class resting and observing. Both are the work.

THIS ROOM IS FOR YOU IF

You recognise
yourself  here

  • You feel wired and exhausted at the same time.

  • You're high-functioning on the outside and overwhelmed underneath it.

  • You want movement that nourishes rather than demands.

  • You're ready to relate to your body as an ally rather than something to manage.

You don't need to arrive relaxed. You can arrive stressed, tired, or overwhelmed. The practice will meet you exactly where you are. That is the entire point.

Prishaniee is lying on a beige sofa with her head resting on pillows and wrapped in a blanket, in a room with sheer curtains, a black round coffee table with decorative ceramic face sculptures and a vase of flowers, and a patterned rug.
