A 7-day guided somatic audio series

the soft nO

A no that doesn't cost you anything.

Welcome to the part where you stop overriding yourself.

You already know what you would say. You have rehearsed it in the shower. You have typed it and deleted it. You have said it perfectly to someone in your head at two in the morning.

And then the moment arrives, and your body gets there first, and you hear yourself saying yes.

Not because you're weak-willed. Not because you haven't read the right book. Because something underneath language decided it wasn't safe to disagree, and it decided before you got a vote.

Seven days of teaching your body that it is safe enough to mean what it says.

You are not disorganised. You are not too sensitive. You are not doing it wrong.

You are overriding yourself.

You feel the no land in your body and the jaw that sets, the breath that goes shallow, the shoulders that climb and then you talk over it. You say yes. You stay. You hold. And the bracing doesn't leave when the moment does, it lives in you, all day, as a low hum of holding,

Your body has been trying to tell you something. This is seven days of finally listening.

THIS IS NOT ANOTHER BOUNDARIES COURSE.

This is not seven days of collecting more information about boundaries.

There is no script in here. No phrasing to memorise. No three-sentence formula for declining something gracefully. You have read those. You probably own two of them.

The words were never the problem.

This is seven days of somatic practice the kind that happens with your eyes closed and your attention turned inward designed to change the thing that happens before the words. The bracing. The half-second where your body decides.

We will arrive. We will feel the floor. We will undo what you've been holding without deciding to hold it. We will give the no a sound. We will let the body finish what it's been carrying. And then we will rehearse.

Nine recordings, Yours to keep, with no expiry.

The series moves through seven days, but your access doesn't end when the week does. Unlimited replays, any order, for as long as you want them.

A NOTE FROM ME

I have a master's degree and a decade of training. I can name the mechanism behind every practice in this series.

None of that stopped me from saying yes to things my body had already refused.

I have had a clenched jaw for most of my life.

I explained it the way everyone explains it. Stress. Posture. The way I sleep. It got bad enough that I chipped a tooth and ended up at the dentist for a night guard, and that helped, right up until I realised I was grinding through the guard.

Then I noticed the pattern, and I noticed it by accident.

It wasn't every morning. It was the mornings after I had said yes to something.

Not big things. A dinner I didn't want. A weekend I had already quietly cleared for myself. Someone asking if I was free and hearing my own voice say yes before I had checked anything at all. I would go to bed fine and wake up unable to open my mouth properly, and I would blame the pillow because it couldn't be my teeth, and I wasn't stressed, so it had to be something else.

It was something else. My body had been keeping the record the entire time. Every night I overrode myself, it said no on my behalf, in the only place it had left.

I want to be careful here, because it would be tidy to tell you the jaw released the day I understood it. What actually happened is slower and less impressive. I started noticing. I started saying no more often. And eventually there were more mornings I could move my jaw than mornings I couldn't.

Here is what I know now that I didn't then.

A boundary held from armour costs you something. The jaw set, the voice half a step too high, three reasons attached and an apology on either end. You get the outcome and you pay for it for two days afterwards. That is not a boundary. That is a fight you won.

A boundary held from a settled body is quieter. It doesn't argue. It doesn't need to be understood. It costs almost nothing, because there was no war in you when you said it.

That is the whole difference, and it is not a mindset. It is a state, and states are trainable.

I built this because I could not find it. Everything I could find was either words with no body in it, or a body practice with no teeth. This has both.

I am not selling you calm. I am selling you the ability to disagree without it costing you your afternoon.

WHAT IS THE SOFT nO?

Nine guided audio recordings. An introduction, seven daily practices, and a short piece for afterwards.

You press play, you close your eyes, and you let your body do the work your mind can't force. There is nothing to watch and nothing to complete.

Every day is anchored to a named practice with an actual mechanism behind it orienting, the physiological sigh, pandiculation, the voo breath, the tremor an animal does after a near miss, self-soothing touch. These are not things I made up to sound serious. They come out of somatic experiencing, polyvagal theory, and clinical research on what settles a nervous system, and I will tell you what each one is doing while you do it, in plain language, without a single clinical word.

Nothing here is ambient sound with a nice voice over it. (keep)

By day seven you will have felt your own nO in your body before it became a word, and you will have one portable practice you can use for the rest of your life.

HOW IT WORKS

1. You buy. Your link arrives by email within a minute.

2. Nine recordings are waiting inside. No app, no login, nothing to install.

3. One a day, or at whatever pace you actually have. They don't expire.

Every practice is built the same way, and it helps to know the shape before you start.

We arrive first, every single time, even on the short days. When we go near something with heat in it — and we do, twice — we go near it in the smallest possible dose, and then we come back. We always come back. And every practice ends resourced. You will not be left open in the middle of something.

There is also a way out of any practice, at any moment, and it belongs to you. It's called the doorway, it's taught in the introduction, and it is the reason the deeper days are safe to do alone.

You do not need to have anything figured out before you begin. You need eleven minutes and somewhere to close a door.

DAY ONE · THE ROOM (6 minutes) Before your body can say no to anything, it has to know where it is. You'll let your eyes finish looking, and find the one place in you that is already alright. You'll come back to that place every day this week.

DAY TWO · THE FLOOR (9 minutes) A no needs weight underneath it. You'll learn to read the sense nobody ever taught you, the one where the no arrives several seconds before the word does, if you know how to feel it.

DAY THREE · THE YAWN (10 minutes) Your body already knows how to say no. It does it every morning before you're properly awake. You'll find what you've been holding without ever deciding to hold it, and put some of it down.

DAY FOUR · THE SIGH (5 minutes) The portable one. Two breaths and a long letting-go, ten seconds, and it works in the meeting, in the car, while someone is still talking. This is the one you'll still be using in a year.

DAY FIVE · THE SOUND (13 minutes) Before a no was a word, it was a sound, low and from the belly, and we have made it very polite since then. You'll make it. And you'll go near one small yes that wasn't true for one breath, and then back. That's the whole dose.

DAY SIX · THE SHAKING (14 minutes) What the body does with every no it swallowed. An animal shakes for a minute after a near miss and goes back to grazing, entirely unbothered. We were taught to hold still and be fine. Today you don't.

DAY SEVEN · THE GESTURE (9 minutes) You rehearse. Not the words — the body underneath them. Your own hand on your own chest, and the shape a boundary makes before it becomes a sentence.

THE SEVEN DAYS

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT THIS IS COSTING YOU.

It's the tight chest at two in the afternoon. The yes you regret by evening. The conversation you're still having in your head three days later. The exhaustion that sleep doesn't touch, because it was never about sleep.

You have been paying for this for years. Quietly, and in a currency nobody bills you in.

Seven days. Nine recordings. Between five and fourteen minutes a day, in your own house, with your eyes closed.

You did not need to become tougher to do this. Nothing in here will ask you to armour up. You were never too soft you were braced, which is a different thing entirely, and it was never actually protecting you.

Soft is not weak. It never was.

All sales are final. This is a digital audio series with immediate access, so there are no refunds. If anything doesn't work the link, the files, the player reply to your email and I'll fix it myself.

Please note: This is a somatic practice, not therapy or medical treatment, and it isn't a substitute for either. If you are working with something heavy, please do this alongside real support rather than instead of it.
